Sweat Equity

For those who don't know what has been going on in our lives lately let me fill you in. A couple of months ago I was riding the bus into work and was eves dropping on someone's converstation. I usually don't do this (really I don't), but a lady caught my attention when she said the DIY Network was filming in Minneapolis and she was being interviewed for the show. What REALLY caught my attention was the fact that being selected for the show meant you get monetary and product donations. I don't know about you, but I like free money (ok, it's not completely free, we have to report it on our taxes). The next day Collette and I applied via email. A few days later we had our first interview with a show scout. A week after that, we had another interview with the show producer. At the 2nd interview the producer said they would use us for an episode, but it wasn't until a couple days later that it was official. 

Collette and I had planned on renovating the upstairs bathroom this fall anyway, being on the show and getting the free stuff is just the icing on the cake.

So thats it. We're going to be on national television for our master suite remodel! Isn't that some sh*t!
